NUMBER 9 - PEOPLE & EVENTS - JOINT EXHIBITION WITH MARSAM GALLERY INTRODUCING THEIR CASABLANCA PORFOLIO. Our friend Khalil Chraibi had been looking for the right vehicle with which to stage a cooperative event here at Rick's. He certainly found it in the publication of a CASABLANCA PORFOLIO featuring 6 original lithographs by ABDALLAH SADOUK and accompanying narrative by GHITA KHAYAT. The portfolio was introduced at a cocktail preceding our regular Sunday night Jam Session and which attracted former Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssefi, Mayor of Casablanca Mohamed Sajid, numerous figures in the art community as well as members of the press. Prime Minister Youssefi stayed on for dinner inaugurating the round table in the newly redecorated Blue Room. NUMBER 9 - ADDITIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS AT RICKS - SOUVENIR MENU HOLDER FOR GROUPS. Increasing group business - of tourists as well as business entertaining - was the catalyst for a printed menu holder fashioned after the doors of Rick's Cafe. The doors, when opened, provide space for a menu to be affixed with double-sided tape. On the back of the menu holder is all of Rick's contact information plus a plug for our "Rick's Gear" line of souvenirs. Tourists especially appreciate taking the menu with them as a souvenir of Morocco and their meal at Rick's Cafe. |
