NUMBER 5 - PEOPLE & EVENTS - MUSIC ON THURSDAY NIGHTS. It's ironic that I'm writing this on a Thursday night sitting here in my corner at the bar listening to Amine, Karim and another guitarist performing. Buying our own sound system brought more flexibility to what we could offer, and many Sunday night customers had been clamoring for another night of Jazz. Now in addition to the regular Sunday night Jam Sessions, Issam is joined on Thursday nights by Amine's trio. NUMBER 5 - ADDITIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS AT RICK'S - MENU CARD OF CHEF'S SUGGESTIONS. When we had 1000 menus printed - and found that they were quite durable - it was clear we wouldn't need to reprint them anytime soon. It was also pretty clear we had to offer seasonal specialities and new dishes. It started with lobster and langouste, then turbot, a filet mignon flambe, whole Dorade and Loup and a fabulous dish of scallops with asparagus in a calvados-based sauce. Our regular clients especially have liked the option - and who wouldn't feel like a lobster every once in awhile.
